Meetups and conferences

Throughout the year, computer science schools regularly bring in key Meetups and conferences  figures to raise students’ awareness of the impact of new technologies on society: Greentech, Foodtech, Fintech, Health, Transport and Energy.

Epitech’s “Moonshot Pool” is a series of conferences that has been running since 2015.

“The Moonshot aims to look further and higher in the company of high-quality bitfinex database guests and speakers, to encourage students to find digital answers to the underlying questions of our society,”  explains Axelle Ziegler, head of eucational content at Epitech.

Among  the topics covere  : “More collaborative, transparent and personalize: will Fintech finally make us love banking?” (on AI and SmartContracts) “Tomorrow, will we all be producers and resellers of energy?” (on Blockchain and photovoltaics) “Are we heading towards a meicine without doctors?” (on biohacking and dematerialization) “To drive or be driven?” (on autonomy and the Smartcity)

It was also an opportunity to bring AI professionals to the Moonshot:  Laurence Devillers and Meetups and conferences  Clara Jean on algorithmic   biases , entrepreneurs: Paul Benoit from Qarnot Computing , a system for recovering heat from computer servers to heat buildings and Arthur Alba from Streetco , a participatory application allowing people with reuce mobility to learn about the obstacles in their path.

Future engineers thus become aware of the open-mindeness necessary

“The student associations of 42. A  42AI and 42entrepreneurs regularly organize conferences what pitfalls chinese groups on the meia landscape do you often see in practice? and meetups to address cutting-ege technical aspects. A  feeback and professional situations subject to ethical questions. A ”  adds Olivier Crouzet. A  eucational director of 42.

Hackathons

Many projects are propose to students by companies during hackathons. École 42 is known for its international hackathons . Through their support. A  companies raise students’ awareness of the ethics of the solutions they seek to develop.

“Ethical issues often arise during hackathons. For example. A  a health hackathon involves patients. A  private stakeholders. A  and doctors. A ”  explains Olivier Crouzet of École 42.

Hackathons are a fantastic opportunity to tackle a complex problem as a team. During Meetups and conferences  these bermuda businesses directory time collaborative challenges, future engineers are confronte with a wealth of information, and their role is to make the right choices by assessing what is relevant and what is irrelevant.

“During hackathons, students become aware of the differences in each person’s perception of the same project,”  adds Axelle Ziegler, head of Epitech.
